Day 1 : Arrival Beirut Airport
Meet at the gate, by our friendly Airport staff who shall provide full assistance through immigration & custom. Transfer to hotel in Beirut for overnight.
Day 2 : Beirut / Tyre / Saida / Eshmoun / Beirut
Drive south along the coast to Tyre to visit the Necropolis excavation, the Monumental Arch the spectacular Hippodrome and the Imperial city excavation. Afternoon drive to the coasts city of Saida. Visit of Qalaat Al-Bahr, the Crusader Castle of the Sea from the 13th century, it was built on a little island at the harbor entrance. Free Tour through the Souk. Short visit to Eshmoun to visit the Temple of the Phoenician God identified to Aesculapius. Return to Beirut.
Day 3 : Beirut / Harissa / Byblos / Beirut
Sightseeing tour of the capital ofLebanon,Beirut, where the history reveals a long phase of different invasions. Drive along the seashore to the picturesque rocks of the pigeons’ Rock through Hamra commercial area to the National museum and the Martyr’s Square. Then drive along the coasts street to Harissa to take the Cable up toward the outstretched arms of the Virgin of Lebanon in Harissa – a breathtaking view to Jounieh andBeirut. Proceed toByblos, the city of the most ancient port in the world. Visit the old Souks, Old ramparts, citadel,St. JohnChurchand Roman amphitheater. Return toBeirut.
Day 4 : Beirut / Cedars / Becharre / Tripoli / Beirut
Drive north through the mountain street to the famous cedars in about 2000 m heigth. The majestic cedar adorns used the country flag as a landmark of theLebanon, over centuries away Phoenizier, Egyptian and Greeks of the cedar wood as a building material. Continue to Becharre a neighboring village of the Cedars that is the birth and resting place of Jubran Khalil JibranLebanon’s most famous poet, visit of the little museum. Proceed toTripoli, the second largest city of the country, to visit thecastleofRaymond de Saint Gilles(Sinjil) on the mountain Pelerin, the Souk and the fisherman harbor. Return to Beirut.
Day 5 : Beirut / Jeita / Fakra / Deir Qalaa / Beirut
Visit of the Jeita-grotto whose underground lake with little boats is passable. Continue to Fakra to discover its beautiful Phoenician ruins. Proceed over mountain villages Kfarbedian and Bickfaya until Broumana, then to Beit Merry and visit of Deir-Qalaa. Return to Beirut.
Day 6 : Beirut / Deir El-Qamar / Beiteddine / Beirut
Drive to the Chouf-mountains then to Deir El-Qamar, a former ruler-residence, today a little village of full Charms whose landmark is sign the minaret of the Mosque Fakhreddins. Proceed to Beiteddine and Sightseeing of the palace, the little museum and the Mosaic-Exhibition . Return to Beirut.
Day 7 : Beirut / Baalbeck/ Anjar / Beirut
Drive through theMount Lebanonvia the Beka’a valley to discover Baalbeck, the small town outstanding for its acropolis considered among the most important Roman ruins ever built. Continue to Anjar, the unique fortified city inLebanondated back from Omayyad period. Return to Beirut.
Day 8 : DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, transfer to Beirut Airport including our assistance during departure formalities.
